OVERVIEW

The Goodyear Assurance MaxLife is a touring all season tire manufactured for passenger vehicles. Goodyear offers an 85,000 mile tread wear warranty with this tire model.

The tire promotes great all weather traction. The all season tire compound and the tread pattern enhance the dry, wet and winter weather road grip. The tire compound keeps its flexibility in all weather, while the tread elements enhance the road gripping ability all year. The wide circumferential grooves prevent hydroplaning by eliminating water and slush from below the tires footprint. This results in a safer hydroplaning resistance and first-rate all weather performance.

The tread pattern enhances the steering responsiveness and driving stability. The continuous center rib maintains the tires constant road contact to increase the tires controllability. In other words, it enhances the steering response time and accuracy to the drivers commands and it stabilizes the structure against the driving pressure affecting the tire during the drive. In this manner, the driver can confidently control the vehicle in all weather.

The tires internal structure consists of twin steel belts and a polyester casing. They work together to ensure the tires optimized structure. The twin steel belts keep the tires optimal shape and prevent it from deforming under the driving pressure affecting it. The polyester casing allows the tire to closely follow the road surface at all times. This absorbs the shock of driving and prevents road vibrations felt in the vehicles cabin.

The Assurance MaxLife features Wear Gauges. These are located on the intermediate ribs, and are responsible for providing a visual indication of the tread depth remaining on the tires. This enables the driver to monitor the tread wear rate on the tires, and remedy possible arising problems in the wear patterns, greatly extending the tread life and the tires usability.
